ΒLUSH ME!

"I was 7 years old when I wore my first blusher - a stolen shade of dark pink produced by the Greek company LADAS if I remember correctly (my mother bought products from them during the 70s from the "AIM" in Omonia). Then the first cosmetics stores such as Patistas, Hontos as well as department stores such as MINION opened offering more brands.
In my teens - after lengthy negotiations - I bought a pink (!) blush from Bourjois one afternoon as I was returning from school, believing that I knew to how to apply make up and that pink was the color for me!
After watching me wear that blush - I looked like I suffered from smallpox/allergic reaction rolled into one - my older sister decided that the time had come to give me some make up advice. In the years following that, top make up artists who I worked closely with, taught me how to properly apply blushers. Having tried different shades of beige and pink which never quite suited me, for many years now I turn to the pink accented shades in Guerlain blush palettes. Depending on the season, I play around with the shades (I have snow white skin in the winter months) and never leave the house without my favourites." E.M.

Guerlain blusher and brush

The "key" to successful makeup, blush gives has the ability to make one's skin look healthy and luminous whilst accentuating contours. The cosmetic cosmetics offer a huge variety of textures and shades with blushes in liquid format and sticks being the new trends while creamy textures and compacts provide the most timeless and safe choice. Remember that a blusher should be applied with a specific brush. The shade of your lipstick should be also more intense than your blush (with coral and peach shades being both the safest and most popular choicesfor blushes). When applying a blush build slowly, preferably in natural light - applying the product lightly, taking care to emphasize the angles of your face.
