Alessandro Michele drew gasps of sheer delight when he presented his Spring/Summer '16 collection in Milan and now Gucci has released its first timepieces inspired by the new creative director's exuberant aesthetic, its highly anticipated Pre Basel collection. Echoing the whimsical spirit of Spring/Summer '16, the new watches are eye-catching yet classic, right down to the honeybee motif engraved on the back of each case (ICYMI - the honeybee is Gucci's new symbol). The sportiest model in the new collection takes Gucci's heritage green-red-green stripe and fashions it into a contemporary Plexiglass bangle, with a see-through case that reveals the watch mechanisms inside. The honeybee is also printed on the bangle in gold leaf. You can also go for the signature stripe sans Plexiglass, with a new canvas double-loop strap take on Gucci's G-Frame design.
