Charlotte Flair is on her way to establishing herself as a WWE icon. As the daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair, Charlotte had big shoes to fill. But she’s etched out an impressive career as a multi-time champion and one of wrestling’s biggest celebrities. Although she’s busy as a top star on Monday Night RAW, Charlotte always makes time for her fiance, former WWE star Andrade “Cien” Almas. The couple has been engaged since January 2020, and if it wasn’t for a wrestling pal, they wouldn’t be together.

Andrade says wrestler Karl Anderson introduced him to Charlotte Flair

Although Andrade and Charlotte worked for the same company, the two had few interactions. But that changed during 2019 when a fellow co-worker played matchmaker. According to Sportskeeda, Andrade says that wrestler Karl Anderson introduced him to the woman who’d later become his fiancée.

Andrade explained that the couple’s first date took place during a show on WWE’s European tour. After receiving a message from Anderson, Andrade went to meet his friend in catering. Andrade thought they were going to discuss work, but Anderson had other plans. Anderson informed Andrade there was somebody he should meet, then proceeded to introduce Andrade to Charlotte.

Charlotte Flair and Andrade are engaged

With the help of Anderson’s matchmaking, Andrade and Charlotte began dating. They went public with their relationship in April 2019, and immediately became wrestling’s newest power couple. The two won over the hearts of fans with their cute social media posts showing them on vacation and working out at the gym.

After dating for almost a year, Andrade proposed to Charlotte during a yacht trip on New Year’s Day 2020. As reported by Republic World, the couple had plans to marry last year with a ceremony in Mexico. However, the coronavirus pandemic and the travel restrictions had them postponing the wedding. The couple is still engaged and is waiting for the right time to say “I do.”

Andrade and Charlotte Flair now work for rival companies

These days Andrade and Charlotte are no longer working together. As reported by Bleacher Report, Andrade left the company after being granted his release request. Andrade’s decision to leave was due to creative frustrations.

Charlotte supported Andrade in his decision to leave and branch out on his own. Andrade’s latest career move took him to AEW, which is WWE’s competition. Despite working for rival companies, Andrade and Charlotte are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. With them being top stars in different promotions, Andrade and Charlotte are the definitions of a wrestling power couple.
